Seattle Opera Debut

Following her warm welcome to the U.S.A, at Seattle Opera, Christina’s performances have brought in rave reviews.
”It’s always exciting when the Queen of the Night steps forward for her two killer arias, and Christina Poulitsi proved more than capable of Mozart’s stratospheric vocal challenges. She sang with uncanny power and accuracy right up to the high F’s, which were stunningly good; Poulitsi also is a powerful actress who knows how to use her voice as a weapon.”

Gilda in Mo Zubin Mehta’s “hands”!

Christina made her italian Debut of Gilda at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino conducted by Mo Zubin Mehta. Together with Ambrogio Maestri (Rigoletto) they joined forces to achieve high level of musicality and expressiveness.
Look what the critic’s said about Christina’s debut in Florence:
“The surprise of the evening was the young Greek soprano Christina Poulitsi. An element to follow with interest . Already greatly applauded Queen of the Night in Bologna during the current season, she claims a short career that has brought her around the world as a highly requested Strenflammende Queen. Owning a shellproof musicianship and a very cunning technique, there is no passage that puts her in difficulty and she exhibits picchettati, mesa di voce, ascending and descending scales of crystal intonation , a fresh timbro, a limpid sonority not wide but nourished enough to honor even the most dramatic moments in the third act. Moreover she has a slim figure and moves with ideal grace for a character like Gilda , while captivating in the way she tenders the phrase.”
