Placido Domingo and Christina Poulitsi in a unique concert in the imposing space of the Holy Monastery of Toplou, in Sitia, on the island of Crete.
The ERT National Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by the great Spanish conductor Jordi Bernàcer.
Will take place on July 9 , 2023
Christina Poulitsi will record in cd & dvd Carmina Burana under the baton of Maestro Gianandrea Noseda together with London Symphony Orchestra in Barbican Hall in London in June 2024.

Following her first bel canto debut as Lucia di Lammermoor in Royal Opera House’s production of Katie Mitchell, Christina debuted with great success the role of Violetta Valery in Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the State Opera of Hambur conducted by Mo Giampaolo Bisanti and next to Liparit Avetisyan and Marcus Brück”
Christina Poulitsi was scheduled to sing in the New Production of Rigoletto of the Greek National Opera at the ancient Herodes Atticus open air theatre. Due to Covid-19 restrictions unfortunately the production had to be canceled.
She would be directed by the artistic director of the Athens and Epidaurus Festival Katerina Evangellatos and would sing next to Mathew Polenzani and Dimitris Platanias.
Christina is debuting one of the most exciting roles of Bel Canto Amina in Bellini’s La Sonnambula.
Directed by Marco Arturo Marelli in his famous direction from Vienna State Opera at the Greek National Opera.
Christina made a triumphant debut as Lucia di Lammermoor in the famous Royal Opera House production of Katie Mitchell.Once more she was praised by the critics for her crystal clear high notes, coloraturas and her warm , lyric middle and low range, as well as for her impeccable acting skills.The performances were part of the co-production of the Royal Opera House with the National Opera of Greece.
Christina had a series of concerts in Israel together with Mo Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.She interpreted the arias of Lucia di Lammermoor, Violetta Valery and Donna Anna causing standing ovation especially after the Mad Scene of Lucia. Christina has collaborated with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Mo Zubin Mehta lots of times in the past.
Christina gave a memorable performance of the Queen of the Night at the New Production of the Magic Flute at the State Opera of Hamburg.Critics said: “The triumphant of the evening was the Greek Christina Poulitsi, who impressed not only because of the ease, precision, and fullness of sound of the high notes and the coloraturas, but also and above all for the drama and strength in the middle register – there are rare the singers who can give both these aspects of Queen of Night.” and “Christina Poulitsi with coloraturas to fall on your knees for.”
Christina Poulitsi opened the new season with a last minute performance, singing the title role in Stravinsky’s “Le Rossignol” in russian at the Stresa Festival with Mo Gianandrea Noseda and the Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino. Italian newspaper, La Stampa, wrote: “Coloratura soprano, Christina Poulitsi, who was brought in with just a weeks’ notice, performed impeccably, bringing the ultimate essence of the role to the stage where she represented the Nigthingale, whose beautiful singing defies Death and saves the Emperor.” Christina’s return to the stage with Mo Gianandrea Noseda followed a performance of Mozart Arias with the Israel Philharmonic in Charles Bronfman Auditorium in March 2016.
Christina made her American Debut singing the role of the Queen of the Night at the Michigan Opera Theatre as one of the most highly requested Queen of the Night singing this role throughout the globe. She recently performed at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Grand Theatre Shanghai, Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Teatro Regio di Torino, whereas she is returning to several houses, where she has already debuted this role like Semperoper, Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Komische Oper Berlin. Her UK Debut in this role at the Royal Opera House in London will be in October 2017.
