Christina Poulitsi opened the new season with a last minute performance, singing the title role in Stravinsky’s “Le Rossignol” in russian at the Stresa Festival with Mo Gianandrea Noseda and the Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino. Italian newspaper, La Stampa, wrote: “Coloratura soprano, Christina Poulitsi, who was brought in with just a weeks’ notice, performed impeccably, bringing the ultimate essence of the role to the stage where she represented the Nigthingale, whose beautiful singing defies Death and saves the Emperor.” Christina’s return to the stage with Mo Gianandrea Noseda followed a performance of Mozart Arias with the Israel Philharmonic in Charles Bronfman Auditorium in March 2016.
